[Video] Huge Crash During Day Two of Drag Week

Day 2 of Dragweek at Cecil County Dragway in Marlyand had one of it’s biggest crashes to date. The folks over at 1320Video captured the crash from a spectators view as well as from the drivers perspective–a scary moment indeed. Magnus Frost from Mora, Sweden, the driver of the Opel Ascona, waited a whole year to get to drag week after failing to make the event last year due to customs holding the car. After a great launch unfortunately, Magnus’ Opel got out of the groove, and lost control, sending the rare Opel into the right-hand wall. Thankfully Magnus exited the car under his own strength and walked away with no injuries.

The good news for Magnus and his friends from over seas is that they brought two Opel Asconas to run, and the other car ran a personal best of 7.76 at 177.02 and still remains in the competition. The crashed Opel still holds the fastest pass of the event with a blistering 230.30 mph.
