Skip Barber Racing School Gears Up with Acquisition of Superstar Racing Experience (SRX)

Revving up the excitement, Skip Barber Racing School proudly announces its acquisition of Superstar Racing Experience (SRX), marking a significant stride in the motorsports domain.

Established in 1975, Skip Barber Racing School stands as the globe’s largest institution of its kind, boasting a prestigious roster of over 400,000 alumni, including luminaries like Sergio Perez, Josef Newgarden, Jeff Gordon, and Jimmie Johnson. With operations spanning across nine premier venues nationwide, the school offers top-tier racing education and safe driving programs.

Since SRX’s inaugural season in 2021, Skip Barber Racing School has played a pivotal role as the series’ official logistics partner, entrusted with the meticulous care, maintenance, and transportation of all SRX vehicles throughout the thrilling racing calendar. Notably, many of SRX’s regular competitors are proud graduates of Skip Barber Racing School, exemplified by names such as Ryan Newman, Bobby Labonte, Ken Schrader, and Marco Andretti.

“This marks an exhilarating chapter for the entire SBRS team,” exclaimed Dan DeMonte, Chief Marketing Officer at Skip Barber Racing School. “We are dedicated to delivering unparalleled experiences to the motorsports community, and now, with SRX under our wing, we’re poised to continue that legacy.”

Adding to the excitement, Don Hawk, former CEO of SRX, has joined Skip Barber Racing School as its Chief Strategy Officer, bringing with him a wealth of industry expertise and vision for the future.

“Having observed Skip Barber Racing School and its remarkable alumni over the years, I am thrilled to embark on this journey with Anthony DeMonte, Dan DeMonte, and Joe Monitto,” stated Hawk. “Together, we aim to rejuvenate SRX, delighting fans and reviving tracks, while also advancing the broader vision and business objectives across the USA and beyond.”

Beyond its acquisition of SRX, Skip Barber Racing School continues to set the pace in the motorsports arena, conducting over 200 days of racing schools and safe driving academies annually. The institution also oversees the Skip Barber Race Series, a premier Formula 4 training platform, and actively competes in professional racing circuits, including IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge, TC America powered by the Skip Barber Racing School, and Toyota GR Cup North America.

“Exciting plans for the 2024 season are underway, with further details set to be unveiled in the weeks ahead,” remarked Dan DeMonte. “Interested parties seeking partnerships or sponsorships are encouraged to reach out to Skip Barber Racing School’s Chief Marketing Officer, Dan DeMonte, at [email protected].”
