A fabulous muscle car is always a showstopper at the Las Vegas-based SEMA show, but sometimes you just get punched in the face by the very cool factor that makes a muscle car stand out in the first place. Such is the eye-catching nature of ‘Notorious’, the stunning 1970 Plymouth Barracuda owned by Trent Carter and built by Rides by Kam which was on display at the Meguiar’s booth at SEMA 2023.
RacingJunk stopped by the booth to talk to Rob Zehabi from Rides by Kam to unpack the build, along with some of the adventures in getting the car from its home in Australia to Las Vegas for its big debut.
As always, the Rides by Kam builds not only elevate the original vehicle vision, but focus on small details that highlight specific elements of the vehicle when it’s on display, including interior lighting and a in this case, a PPG paint color so cool that it got it’s own name – Kalua green. It is powered by a Dodge NASCAR engine and is a masterclass in fine detail.
