Pinup Pole Show Pinup of the Week: Tonya Kay

Pinup Pole Show Pinup of the Week for this week is… me! I’m Tonya Kay, the writer of this column, creator of Tonya Kay’s Pinup Pole Show and producer of some dynamite automotive model photoshoots. My love for cars started back when I was a wee kiddo - my parents had a 1969 GTO, a 1973 Stingray Corvette and a Harley Davison chopper - those were the daily drivers! Then, when I flipped and wrecked my first vehicle (a 1974 Ford pickup) in the winter slush, my dad insisted we do a frame-off restoration together. I participated begrudgingly at the time, but now I value the connection working on the truck gave my dad and I. And the lesson that I can do anything - even build a car!
Later, I converted three vehicles to run on waste vegetable oil (a very alternative fuel) and now my daily driver is a BMW i3 electric vehicle. But my favorite car is my 1965 Buick Riviera, the Grape Space Coaster, which I just had restored. It’s ready for cruises and car shows and photoshoots - let’s go!
In fact, come to Tonya Kay’s Pinup Pole Show’s next event on Saturday, Nov. 17 in North Hollywood, CA, where the Grape Space Coaster will be showing. Your classics are welcome at my car show, too. Until then, look for photoshoots I’ve produced featuring my company, Tonya Kay’s Pinup Pole Show, published in Top Hat Dolls Magazine (Sept 2018 issue) and Grease Inc. Magazine coming out next month. Plus, keep checking back here at RacingJunk.com weekly for my new Pinup of the Week installments!
