Hello, greasers! It’s good to be back - again. It’s full-on 2020 and I’m loving it already. Except that one part where some not-cool human stole my computer on the first flight I took this year. Sidelined my writing and photography shares here at RacingJunk, but guess what? I’ve got a new computer and all my photo shoots are accounted for and available again, so let’s do this!
This week’s Pinup Pole Show Pinup of the Week is me, Tonya Kay, producer of Tonya Kay’s Pinup Pole Show and resilient renegade. This week I’m posing with Chris Oliva's 1965 Chevy c10. I’m wearing Lexico Fashion and photographed by Ryan Enos Creative right here in Los Angeles at Tonya Kay’s Pinup Pole Show.
This shoot is a special one because this is where I met not only the truck owner, Mr. Whitewalls himself, but also the photographer, Ryan Enos - two very important people in my classic car-obsessed universe! Chris Oliva’s patina c10 has won some fancy honors at car shows, but hopefully me doing the middle splits across the gorgeously pinstriped hood here is a unique honor that only Pinup Pole Show can offer.
And photographer Ryan Enos contacted me via email saying he’s interested in shooting the car show and we made arrangements for him to come out. None of us knew Ryan at that point, but he worked quickly and creatively with my models - we all loved him. And his shots! As you can see, this was in the dark part of the SoCal winter and it’s quite officially night-time (at 7p.m.). Ryan brought his own handheld lighting and assistant to nail these shots. And we’ve staged no less than six more shoot with Ryan since!
I love it when a plan comes together...
