TONYA KAY: What can our emerging-model fans do to set themselves up for success when working with a photographer? CANDACE CANE: Study. Look up examples of the photographer’s previous work to get a feel for their style. Also research other models in magazines and online to pull inspiration for posing. TONYA KAY: What type of demeanor and communication from a photographer do you work best with? CANDACE CANE: I love a photographer who will communicate with me. Having some direction given from the person who sees the image as a whole is extremely helpful. I don’t care for praises after each shot, but I do like an occasional affirmation that the work being done is good.
