I Bought it on RacingJunk: Bobby Rostia’s 1941 Willys Pro Mod

In our new column, "I Bought It On RacingJunk," happy customers share their "toys" and triumphs, all of which were facilitated right here on RacingJunk. First up is Bobby Rosita and his journey with building this bad-to-the-bone Pro Mod style Willys: I began shopping for a rolling chassis race car built by a reputable chassis shop in September 2014. I found a 1941 Willys Pro Mod style built by Tim McAmis Race Cars. I began speaking to the seller and getting information and pictures and decided to go take a look at the car. So in October 2014 and my friend Tom Buonocore went on a road trip with my trailer in tow to Illinois. After inspecting the car I decided to purchase it. We loaded the car up and started our trip back to Staten Island, NY. Once we got back, we dropped the car off at my friend Guy Girgentis' shop. After a few weeks of replacing the wiring, we dropped my 632 c.i. motor and select transmission in the car. We then brought the car up to C & F Race Cars to set up the car and scale it. Finally, after a lot of work, we brought it to the track for some test hits and began the 2015 season in top sportsman. After two seasons with the 632 in it, I decided it wasn`t fast enough so I again went back to RacingJunk for a bigger motor. I finally was able to work out a deal for an 815 c.i. mountain motor Pro Stock engine. So we began the process of changing everything and upgrading for the bigger motor. Now the car runs in the 6-second zone at over 200 mph. I think RACING JUNK is the best place to find whatever your needs are. I use it to buy parts and obviously my race car.
