Heaven just got a little faster. The Hot Rod community lost one of its bright lights as Craig Morrison passed away due to complications of COVID-19, he was 46 years old. A Pacific North Westerner, Morrison was born in Tacoma, Washington, and attended the University of Washington growing up tinkering with everything fast.

Morrison also entered the world of competition, as well, driving the Art Morrison Enterprises-built “Project Super Glass” 1955 Chevy in NHRA Super Gas competition at Division VI events.

After getting some “real-world experience” in the automotive aftermarket, Craig returned to AME and became involved in many facets of the company business —eventually rising to vice president.

Morrison knew that there was a real need of a true “bolt-on” replacement chassis to provide a modern ride, handling and stance for classic vehicles, and was the impetus behind the creation of the Morrison GT Sport chassis—which has become an important cornerstone in the “Restomod” movement. It was one thing for an old car to have fuel injection and reliability, but to “feel” like a modern car was a gamechanger.

Among his industry accolades was SEMA’s “HRIA Industry Achievement” Award for 2010, as well as the Gran Tourismo “Best In Show” award for the “Project 3G” Corvette he and his dad built for the 2006 SEMA Show.

  1. My condolences to the Morrison family. This coronavirus has taken too many special people. Craig found his niche in life, and I’m sure he has been well received in heaven.
He gives a new meaning to the word ‘Godspeed’.
Bless and praise God for all things.

  2. This Sucks! No one should die from Covid-19. Sixteen months ago (Feb ’20) the head of the Shanghai hospital gave a seminar and said they were giving Covid patients 6 grams of IV ascorbic acid every 6 hours and the worst patients had some blood cloting problems so they received some heparin too. the result: 100% survival! China bought 50 tons of ascorbic acid as a result of these findings. American hospitals ignored ALL of the research on how to effectively treat Covid. IV ozone also works, and IV glutathione, as well as hydroxychloroquine with zinc, as well as Ivermectin etc. Don’t let the US disease care industry kill you. They received $13,000 for each Covid case, even the many false positives, and another $26,000 if they put the people on a ventilator, which almost always kills the poor people. Basically money for murder.
