Ken Block was a legend in the auto enthusiast space and beyond.  The rally driver and action sports star rose to mainstream prominence with his Gymkhana series of extreme driving videos, and subsequent founding of the Hoonigan brand.

Block was most recently a keynote guest at the 2022 SEMA show in Las Vegas this past November, which featured his ELECTRIKHANA: High Stakes Playground film of him driving the Audi S1 e-tron Quattro built specifically for Block’s project.

At 55, Block was a driver, and entrepreneur,  co-founder of DC Shoes, and of the Hoonigan brand. He was also, as the Hoonigan site emphasizes, a father and a husband and a talented, visionary member and leader of the motorsports community. He will be deeply missed.

Hoonigan released a statement confirming Block’s death in a snowmobile accident in Utah on January 2, 2023.
