Hodnett, Strickler Each Take Home Gator Trophies in Dirt Nationals

Speedweeks (NASCAR) is in full swing here at the worlds most famous track, Daytona International Speedway. However, less than an hour away at the Volusia Speedway Park located in Barberville, Florida is the 2015 DIRT car Nationals. This event features 6 series of DIRT Modifieds, Sprint Cars and late models. It is a 12 day event and each evening will feature two of the top dirt series in the nation competing. The classes include UMP Modifieds, UNOH All-Star Circuit of Champions Sprint Car (some of which are featured here), World of Outlaws Late Models, and Super Dirtcar series Big Block Modifieds. If racing is in your blood or you want something a little smaller than the big stage of Daytona International Speedway, you owe it to yourself to check this out. Everyone is super-fan friendly as is the track and its amenities. You can browse the midway, get something to eat too but be sure to wear some ear protection as its loud, fast and full of non-stop action – just what us gear heads and fans of motorsports racing love so much! If you want a piece of the action just sit in the first 5 or 6 rows and you’ll get plenty of dirt on you from the cars roaring by!
