Expanding Ties: Lucas Oil Products Strengthen Collaboration with Richard Childress Racing and Kyle Busch for 2024

Lucas Oil Products, a longstanding collaborator with both Richard Childress Racing and ECR Engines, revealed an extension of their alliance with Richard Childress Racing and Kyle Busch in 2024, according to a joint announcement by the companies today. The Indianapolis, Ind., headquartered company will expand its partnership with RCR and Busch, sponsoring multiple NASCAR Cup Series races, while continuing as the official motor oil supplier for ECR engines.

Additionally, Lucas Oil will take on the role of primary sponsor for both Kyle and Brexton Busch. Kyle will flaunt the distinctive Lucas Oil colors during his participation in the Micro Sprint car series, making its debut appearance on December 26 at The Tulsa Shootout. Brexton, too, will sport Lucas Oil sponsorship throughout his racing endeavors in 2024.

Brandon Bernstein, director of partnership marketing for Lucas Oil Products, remarked, “RCR and ECR share our fervor for motorsports across various levels, mirroring Kyle’s enthusiasm for short track racing. We are enthusiastic about supporting Brexton as he progresses in his career. Witnessing the positive impacts of our collaboration, particularly in technological advancements benefitting short track racers and everyday consumers, reinforces our commitment. We take pride in channeling our resources into research and development, showcasing top-tier oil performance through our sponsorship of the No. 8 Chevrolet.”

Since 2014, Lucas Oil has held the designation of being the official lubricant of RCR and ECR Engines, solidifying its status as the official motor oil provider for ECR Engines. The triumvirate of RCR, ECR, and Lucas Oil has celebrated victory in NASCAR more than 20 times since their collaboration’s inception. Through groundbreaking research and development, combined with assertive marketing initiatives, Lucas Oil has established itself as a leading industry name, crafting an unparalleled line of superior lubricants and additives.

Kyle Busch steered the No. 8 Lucas Oil Chevrolet to triumph in the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series race at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, Calif. This initial victory, occurring in their debut race together, marked the first win for Lucas Oil in the NASCAR Cup Series. Notably, it also represented Busch’s maiden victory at RCR, extending his streak of securing at least one victory in NASCAR’s premier tier for 19 consecutive seasons.

Torrey Galida, president of RCR, expressed, “The partnership with a racing-rooted lubricants partner has immensely benefited RCR and ECR. Witnessing the No. 8 Lucas Oil Chevrolet triumphant in Victory Lane underscored the extensive resources, expertise, and dedication that the Lucas/ECR team has contributed, providing us a substantial competitive edge.”
