Elon Musk, the sometimes controversial CEO of Tesla, and Jim Farley, the CEO of Ford, discussed the future of electric vehicles on Twitter Spaces. Musk has been actively promoting using Twitter Spaces, a live chat platform in recent weeks. During a CNBC interview earlier this month, he emphasized the importance of interviewing this platform. Notably, Musk recently hosted the official campaign announcement of Ron DeSantis as well. You can listen to the conversation here:

In the interview, they revealed that Ford customers will soon have the ability to utilize the Tesla Supercharger network for electric vehicle (EV) charging across North America, beginning in early 2024.

Ford customers have access to approximately 10,000 fast chargers, while Tesla boasts around 12,000 Superchargers in the United States and Canada. This collaboration means that owners of Ford’s popular vehicles such as the F-150 Lightning, Mustang Mach-E, and E-Transit will have double the charging opportunities in just a few months’ time.

Furthermore, starting from 2025, Ford’s upcoming electric vehicle models will come equipped with a NACS charge port, similar to the ones found in Teslas. This integration eliminates the need for an adapter, making the charging process even more convenient for Ford EV owners.
