Drag Racing Museum Honors 2026 Inductees
The Don Garlits Museum of Drag Racing, which hosts the International Drag Racing Hall of Fame, recently inducted it’s 2026 honorees in Ocala, Florida. The Museum was founded in 1990 by Don and Pat Garlits “to honor those individuals who have contributed to the success of the sport of drag racing.” Honorees include drivers, “crew chiefs, car builders, track owners, promoters, and manufactures who have contributed to the success and safety of the sport.”
The ceremony kicked off the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing series opener weekend in Gainsville, Florida in early March 2026. This year, crew chief and tuners Steve Boggs and Rahn Tobler along with Reher‑Morrison Racing Engines founders David Reher & Buddy Morrison, were among those inducted. Other inductees include announcer Bob Frey, and European Top Fuel racer Anita Makela. Arlene Johnson, wife NHRA Pro Stock champion Warren Johnson, received the Pat Garlits Memorial Award. The Founder’s Award went to Jet dragster race pioneer Bob Smith.
