Down the Track with RacingJunk August 20 – 26, 2022
We say goodbye to a legend in the hot rod world, as well as a scrappy drag race series while saying hello to a drag ready Mach E this week on down the track with RacingJunk.
First and foremost, the hot rodding world mourns the death of writer and racer and enthusiast Pat Ganahl who died last week in a crash. His words and passion for the industry was so important to so many people and we offer our support to his family and loved ones.
We also say goodbye (maybe just for now?) to the American Drag Racing League which ceased operations last week. Hopefully, it will reform someday as it’s done in the past.
In other race news, Jeff Gordon returns to racing, proving that quitting is MEANINGLESS, Kimi Raikkonen survives Watkins Glenn, Kurt Busch is still recovering from a crash at Pocono, and Phil Shuler joins Maynard Family Racing in the pit crew.
We travel to Bonneville with Mitzi Valenzuela, as well as meeting Ali, Mitzi’s latest Motor Maven before heading to Holohan’s Hot rod Shop with big Al.
And finally, we take a look at a Mach E on the drag strip, proving that you don’t need internal combustion to beat the clock.
All that plus Trailer Tuesdays, cool car finds and more on Down the Track with RacingJunk.
