After being suspended by DIRTcar officials a few short months ago, the driver of the No. 44 dirt sprint car, Chris Martin, is now having the chance to prove that he is ready to focus and get back to proving that he is the driver to beat in the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series in 2019.

Martin’s suspension followed a violation of the DIRTcar substance abuse policy when he tested positive for marijuana metabolite during the 5-Hour Energy Knoxville Nationals at Knoxville (Iowa) Raceway. Despite appealing, Martin was suspended for 90 days and told that he would have to pass two drug tests in the final 14 days of his suspension in order to be reinstated.

Thanks to fulfilling all of the requirements given by racing officials, Martin will now be allowed to return to racing action when the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series returns to the track on Feb. 8-9 at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida.
