Happy Holidays and welcome back to Behind the Wheel! What is one of your favorite things to do during this winter celebration time, besides traveling somewhere warm to race? If you answered watching films about the sport that we all love, then you have found your ideal episode of this popular podcast.
For this episode, we caught up with Dan Kahn, president of Kahn Media, Inc. and co-creator of a little documentary film called 8 Meters – Triumph, Tragedy and a Photo Finish. This awesome documentary tells the full true story of the same exciting race featured in recent hit movie Ford v Ferrari, but straight from the mouths of former Ford Crew Chief Chris Amon, Preston Lerner author of Ford GT: How Ford Silenced the Critics, Humbled Ferrari and Conquered Le Mans and even Shelby American photographer Dave Friedman.
Along with Kahn, we also caught up with prominent Los Angeles automotive collector and co-founder of the Petersen Automotive Museum Bruce Meyer, whose collection of 10 incredible race cars – called Winning Numbers – features two of the Ferraris seen in Ford v Ferrari as well as the first production Shelby Cobra. Tune in below to find out more about these two automotive enthusiasts!
