In November 1966 I ordered a new 1967 442 from “Rooster” Bush Pontiac – Olds, in Lenoir, NC. He gave me a choice, have it delivered or he would pay to fly me to Lansing, MI to pick it up on drive-out order. I got on the plane! It was gold, with black interior, close ratio 4-speed, and 3:90 posi-traction rearend. More than once I’ve dreamed that I stored the car in a warehouse, but can’t remember where it’s located! It was a great car that surprised more than one of my Ford and Chevy driving friends.
