2022 Ford GT LM Edition Honors Modern LeMans Win

One of 10 limited edition supercars celebrating historic moments in Ford’s elite racing history, the 2022 Ford GT LM Edition is a not to two separate success stories.
Ford’s series of special limited edition tributes for the current-gen road cars wraps up with the 2022 Ford GT LM Edition, which honors both the original LeMans win in 1966 and a more current victory in 2016.
“With innovative materials, design and engineering, the Ford GT is unlike any other production supercar,” said Mark Rushbrook, global director, Ford Performance Motorsports. “As we close this chapter of the road-going Ford GT, the GT LM Edition gave us a chance to inject even more heart and soul from a podium-finishing racecar, furthering the tribute to our 2016 Le Mans win.”
The vehicle will be available with red or blue design details, including exterior carbon fiber elements and the driver’s seat, but they will all feature a 3D titanium-printed dual-exhaust and twin-turbo 660 horsepower EcoBoost® engine.
The interior will include Alcantara®-wrapped carbon fiber seats with accent stitching matching the driver’s seat color, plus engine start button. The ebony wrapped instrument panel, pillars and headliner are complimented by the carbon fiber detailing on the console, vent registers and lower A-pillars with a matte finish.
20 of the vehicles will be produced, and each will feature a special nod to the LeMans spirit — the crankshaft from a 2016 race engine was ground down to powder and converted into an alloy used to #D print the instrument panel in each of the cars.
The GT Ford LM Edition is the 10th in a series of supercars commemorating historic moments in Ford’s race and performance history. Production begins this fall with delivery slated for the end of the year.
