2020 Best In The Desert Triple Crown Promises Big Payouts

Best In The Desert, the largest off-road racing series in North America, has announced it will feature a special Triple Crown within its 2020 “American Off-Road Racing Series.” With guaranteed cash payout bonuses for Overall finishers, the total payout for the 2020 season should be significantly above $600,000.

Unlimited Car/Truck classes will receive bonus payouts of $25,000 for 1st place overall, $10,000 for 2nd place overall and $5,000 for 3rd place overall in each of the Triple Crown events. Limited Car/Truck, UTV and Motorcycles/Quad classes will also be eligible for increased bonus prize money payouts. For Cars/Trucks, the Triple Crown will comprise Best In The Desert’s Parker 425, Vegas to Reno and BlueWater Desert Challenge events. For UTVs and Motorcycles/Quads, the Triple Crown will consist of the Parker 250, Vegas to Reno and BlueWater Desert Challenge events. In total, over $260,000 in additional guaranteed payouts – on top of the normal payout – will be offered in 2020 at these events.

In addition to increased payouts for all Triple Crown events, Best In The Desert will pay more than $65,000 in year end Triple Crown bonuses. Pro Motorcycles/Quads receive a $5,000 bonus, Pro UTVs receive $11,000, Limited Pro Cars/Trucks receive $11,000 and Unlimited Pro Cars/Trucks receive a formidable $40,000 bonus. These bonus payouts elevate the guaranteed purse for the Parker 425 and BlueWater Desert Challenge to more than $100,000 perevent, with Vegas to Reno boasting a guaranteed purse of over $125,000.

Our racers invest a lot in this sport and we wanted to find ways to reward them as much as possible. This new bonus structure gives our racers some additional incentives and titles to shoot for, plus ways to earn purse money outside our individual events and the normal year-long series championships. The addition of the Triple Crown is sure to create additional excitement and attention for our racers and fans.”

Summarizing the 2020 Best In The Desert Triple Crown, Race Operations Manager, Donald Jackson said, “Make no mistake; an overall Best In The Desert Series Championship remains the pinnacle of off-road racing. The Triple Crown adds additional excitement and interest for those following the sport. In addition to our increased cash payouts Best In The Desert also offers one of the richest contingency programs in off-road racing with over $3.7 million up for grabs in 2019. We are working very hard to elevate our series and reward our racers. The additional prize money being offered in 2020 is just another step in that direction.”

The 2020 Best In The Desert Season kicks off Jan. 10 – 11 at Parker, AZ with the Tensor Tire Parker 250 and runs through Oct. 22 – 25 with the series finale Bluewater Desert Challenge.
