Behind the Wheel Podcast Episode 22: Armed Forces Racing

While we at RacingJunk.com have spent a lot of time Behind the Wheel with many talented drivers throughout the world of motorsports, we also love to spend time with those who make some of the coolest racing machines possible.

On our latest episode we took the time to catch up with a gentleman who is not only aiding in the creation of classic drag racing vehicles, but is also providing retired service people with a new purpose: the opportunity to experience the excitement of what it is like to build and drive a drag car, as well as the opportunity to enjoy camaraderie with other veterans.

Armed Forces Racing President/Founder Jeff Lambert decided to give birth to this non-profit organization after serving in the Gulf War and trying to decide what his purpose was outside of the serving in the Navy. Today, this classic car lover and restoration specialist has not only found his calling but is also helping others do the same – as well as providing healing to the body, mind and spirit to all those who have sacrificed so much for their country.

Click the Soundcloud link below to find out more about this inspiring organization as well as how they are bringing a new heart and desire back to the sport of drag racing. You can even see a few of the projects that this non-profit organization has been working on or to take a chance at winning 1963 Ford Falcon for as little as a $1 donation – visit facebook.com/armedforcesracing.
