Click Here to Begin Slideshow Hot rod and pinup photographer Mitzi Valenzuela is known for having her finger on the pulse of both classic and rockabilly car culture. As part of that, Mitzi produces pinup contests for shows all over the world. Here she shares photos of the competitors and some super sweet rides. Some words from the model, Miss Brettie Page, who was Miss Autorama Trophy Girl at the 2019 Sacramento Autorama: “Winning Miss Autorama Trophy Girl was a dream come true and an incredible honor. The Sacramento Autorama is an amazing show. The event is renowned for the innovation, customization and artistry in the stunning classic cars that have graced the show since its inception in 1950, and I was thrilled to be part of its 69th show. “I agonized over what to wear to the contest. I wanted to stand out AND create an homage to the elegance of the participants’ cars. In the end, I decided that the best plan was to be myself and wear what I love, so I chose a late 1930’s true vintage bias cut evening gown and a Rita Hayworth hairstyle for an Old Hollywood aesthetic. After that, it was just time to take a deep breath, smile and have fun. “Hearing my number called was surreal; the other contestants were phenomenal inside and out, so at first I couldn’t believe my ears, but then I was overwhelmed with joy! I’m incredibly thankful to Mitzi, who always produces the best pinup contests, her crew of inspiring pinups, the sponsors, the Autorama organizers and my pinup friends. Their support and encouragement meant the world. Being 2019 trophy girl will forever be one of my most treasured pinup memories; I am so proud to represent the Autorama and I am so grateful for the opportunity.”
