Pinup Pole Show Pinup of the Week: Sierra Scott Shifts

Click Here to Begin Slideshow This week’s Pinup Pole Show Pinup of the Week is a grease monkey herself: wrencher and pinup Sierra Scott Shifts! TONYA KAY: What started your passion for automobiles? SIERRA SCOTT SIFTS: My love for cars started young. Most people figured I had a brother or my father was a mechanic; neither were the case. I am an only child and my father is an architect. I loved taking toys or old appliances apart just to see all the pieces, but putting it back together was a skill I later learned. My junior year in high school is when I took my first automotive class. I completed all required and extra certifications! TONYA KAY: You work on autos professionally - what is your strong point? SIERRA SCOTT SIFTS: I currently work as a service advisor for a dealership, but I have worked under the hood at other locations and I really enjoy the creativity in customizing vehicles. TONYA KAY: What do you have to say to other women interested in a career in the automotive industry? SIERRA SCOTT SIFTS: My path as a female in automotive has been a challenge to say the least, but the challenge brought me to understand more about myself. I’ve learned how tough I can be! My vision is to bring equality to the work place so women like me can feel free from harassment and being underpaid. Free to do the work they love doing! If I could give advice to other women in automotive, I’d say, “Stay strong and keep your integrity. Love what you do and do what you love!” Sierra Scott Shifts is seen here posing with Sal Molina’s (of Voodoo Disciples CC) 1953 Oldsmobile Rocket 88 at Tonya Kay’s Pinup Pole Show, photographed by Shane Karns.
