Dodge SRT, Mopar Renew NMCA Commitment for 2019

The National Muscle Car Association (NMCA) welcomes the Dodge/Mopar HEMI Shootout category for a second season in 2019, offering racers competing in model-year 2005 FCA US LLC vehicles complimentary entry to all 2019 NMCA events. In addition, Dodge//SRT and Mopar are offering owners of the new 2019 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack 1320 complimentary one-year membership in NMCA and NHRA.

In its first year, the Dodge/Mopar HEMI Shootout drew enormous 75-car fields that showcased the full spectrum of modern-day FCA US vehicles, including Dodge Challenger and Charger Scat Pack models, the 707-horsepower Challenger and Charger SRT Hellcat models and the limited production 840-horsepower Dodge Challenger SRT Demon.

The six-event 2019 NMCA schedule begins with the 17th annual NMCA Muscle Car Mayhem at Bradenton Motorsports Park in Bradenton, Fla., taking place March 7-10, 2019.

“These events are the perfect venue to let our vehicle owners live out their passion and we’re proud to be able go help our new Challenger R/T Scat Pack 1320 owners experience their drag-oriented muscle cars, by providing one-year NHRA and NMCA memberships,” noted Steve Beam, head of parts and service (Mopar) and passenger car brands, FCA-North America.

“NMCA was thrilled with the overwhelming response to the Dodge/Mopar HEMI Shootout class this year and we look forward to continuing this exciting program in 2019,” said Steve Wolcott, president and CEO of the NMCA Muscle Car Nationals. The Shootout class offers enthusiasts an accessible experience with drag racing, with available personalized, step-by-step instruction.

Participants are encouraged to race at their own pace and receive special collectible license plates for their participation. The Dodge/Mopar HEMI Shootout class is only open to the first 75 vehicle owners that register for each NMCA event. All vehicles must be licensed, insured and street-driven, on street-legal tires. All must be model-year 2005 or newer FCA USA vehicles.
