Pinup Pole Show Pinup of the Week: Heather Lou

Click Here to Begin Slideshow This week’s Pinup Pole Show Pinup of the Week is the magnetic Heather Lou, posing with Gustavo Rojas' (Voodoo Disciples cc) 1940 Ford truck, photographed by Ryan Enos at Tonya Kay’s Pinup Pole Show. Today we have a special treat: getting to know more about the photographer himself. Ryan Enos has a background in digital design and animation, and photography was always an art form he wanted to learn. He played with cheap early-generation digital cameras since he was young, but picked up his first DSLR around 2010, quickly becoming obsessed with shooting manual and picking apart what makes a photo look great. TONYA KAY: Do you often work with pinup models? RYAN ENOS: Not nearly enough! I do photography mostly as a creative outlet away from motion and design work. It has been a goal of mine to shoot more consistently and continue to meet more models and creatives. TONYA KAY: What was a favorite thing about shooting Pinup Pole Show specifically? RYAN ENOS: The energy dynamic between model, car and trying to harness or capture that spontaneous vibe. Also never knowing exactly what you're going to get car and apparel wise. You have to be dynamic and adaptive shooting these events, but it is always a thrill to pull the shutter. TONYA KAY: The show happens at different times of year - what is a tip for lighting when the event happens after sunset? RYAN ENOS: Really depends on time of year and what kind of light you like to capture. In summer, the light hangs on a lot longer and you can push natural light photos pretty far. Throw in some cheap strobe lights and you have a world of new lighting options, which become basically required in the winter months after sunset. Check out more of Ryan’s automotive and pinup work here and check this column again next week! If you are a photographer, model, classic car owner or producer who would like to see your work featuring in this column, follow Pinup Pole Show on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter and see our submission guidelines post from Nov. 7.
