After more than 50 years of offering education for high performance drivers all over the world, the famed Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving is shutting its doors. The Arizona based racing school filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on October 2. According to school officials, the school that was founded by Bob Bondurant in the 1980’s, owed between $1 million and $10 million to several creditors.
While there were high hopes that the 100-acre Bondurant campus that was used to train up and coming motorsports stars, performance enthusiasts and even police personnel would find the funds necessary to keep this business open, on Monday, November 12 this racing facility closed with no further explanation.
Along with shocking those who had plans to attend this school in the coming months, several of the schools instructors were not made aware of this schools abrupt closing and are now left without jobs.
