Golden Tickets, eCopo and SEMA 2018 Day 3

Click Here to Begin Slideshow Photos: Chadly Johnson For racing and performance fans, this year's SEMA has been one to keep an eye on. From celebrity appearances with racers from all walks of the industry (like the Shell "My Car" campaign with Joey Logano, Leah Pritchett and Helio Castroneves) to vehicle builds making star turns in various booths, it's been a wealth of riches for those who like to go fast. Optima announced the OUSCI schedule for 2019 and hinted at taking the event international in the near future, as well as selecting 10 Golden Ticket winners from cars on display at SEMA who will be invited to run in the 10th Anniversary event this weekend. Chevrolet also brought the past and future together with the introduction of the eCopo Camaro. Maybe the future really is electric. However, the race car is not the only super star at SEMA this year. More and more the truck and SUV market is dominating attention from the aftermarket manufacturers as demand for more mods, higher lifts, better tires and powerful engines dominates the landscape. SEMA is always a good way to see where industry trends are heading, and nothing was more apparent this year than the fact that trucks (and Jeeps) are here to stay. And finally, Toyo Tires presented its Best Toyo Tires SEMA Car Build and Best Toyo Tires SEMA Truck/SUV Build. Each winner received a check for $5,000 and a Toyo Tires trophy. Tony Arme's ’68 Ford Mustang took the car award while the Truck/SUV trophy went to Chris Church's '40 Ford pickup. For more SEMA photos, check out Hot Rod Hotline!
