Congratulations to the second-place winner of Miss Hometown Heroes, A Miss Called Vicky! "I’ve been into pinup for about two years. I enjoy sewing and designing dresses. I find creativity to be my favorite outlet to de-stress. I also enjoy going to Disney parks - I’ve been Disney bounding for two years and have given presentations on it! "When I’m not in the pinup world, I am doing marketing for a local Orange County university. The most patriotic thing I’ve ever done was to stand up for Filipino veterans. My uncle fought with the allies in WW2 as a guerilla. He later served in Korea, saving his all-white battalion from a gunner. He had recently passed. Often times American military history has been white-washed, and we forget about Asian Americans and immigrants who fought and died for their country. I’ve been using my social media platform to preserve the history of the 442nd and Filipinos who fought for their country."
