This week’s Pinup Pole Show Pinup of the Week is October-born Libra and Pinup Pole Show star Candace Cane, posing with Tarah Timmer’s 1957 Thunderbird, LOVEBIRD. Photographed by Shane Karns at Tonya Kay’s Pinup Pole Show and classic car cruise-in.
Tonya Kay’s Pinup Pole Show is a company of cheeky, kustom kulture women and the hot rods we love! Our Los Angeles-based live event features a 75 minute burlesque and pole dance production, a red carpet, seated dinner and drinks and pinup art by Girls Drawin Girls. But this retro party all kicks off with our unforgettable classic car cruise-in. And what makes us truly unique is our world-class entertainers are also breathtaking pinup models - we can’t resist coming out and posing with our favorite classic cars!
Tonya Kay’s Pinup Pole Show is photographer-friendly, drawing hobbyists, photo-journalists and art professionals. The work you are seeing this week is by one of Pinup Pole Show’s all-time favorite photographers, the amazing Shane Karns. He has shot our live events countless times and we’ve explored and grown through working together. It is a very special relationship between models and an excellent photographer like Shane - one that leads to stunning art.
This week, let’s hear from the photographer himself!
“First let me say I truly love working with Tonya Kay’s Pinup Pole show. For years I’ve been lucky enough to photograph their cruise-in and the live show itself. As a photographer, I find that both are a treasure trove of beautiful images just waiting to happen. I’ve spent the most time ‘focusing’ on the pinups/classic car combinations and I have never walked away without a camera card packed full of images that I can’t wait to see on the big monitors.
"My favorite time of the year to photograph Tonya Kay’s Pinup Pole Show is in July, when the car show coincides with 'the magic hour.' You combine meticulously-restored classic cars (inside and out) and beautiful pinups (also inside and out) with the golden sunset, and in the words of another photographer I follow, 'Sha-Bang!'”

If I have a suggestion for a Pinup model, how would I let you know about her? She has the classic look of a Pinup model, from her horned rimmed glasses to the way she dresses every day! She lives the life!
