The NASCAR Hall of Fame was opened in 2010 and has 40,000 square feet of exhibit space, artifacts, hands-on exhibits, High Octane Theater and Hall of Honor. Try out the simulator ride and Race Week, which lets you view behind the scenes of NASCAR teams on race day. You can visit the hall Monday and Wednesday-Sunday from 10am-6pm, it is open to group reservations only on Tuesday.

U.S. National Whitewater Center
The USNWC has been offering over 30 land and water activities since 2006. On their 1,300 acres you can experience whitewater rafting or kayaking, rock climbing, zip lines, paddle boarding, mountain biking and much more. The main grounds are open daily from dawn until dusk, check their website to find out times of certain activities.

Trolley Pub Charlotte
Trolley Pub Charlotte is a fun way to explore the area. You can choose from 3 different predetermined routes or you can book a private tour. These are all BYOB tours that do stop at breweries and pubs along the way. They operate daily but be sure to book ahead of time on their website as tours do fill up.

SEA LIFE Charlotte-Concord Aquarium
SEA LIFE is an interactive aquarium located in Concord. During your visit you can walk through the 360° ocean tunnel, touch ocean life in the Touchpool and check out the behind the scenes tour. The aquarium is open Monday-Friday 10am-7pm, Saturday 10am-9pm and Sunday 12pm-7pm.

Carolinas Aviation Museum
The museum was founded in 1992 and is right next to the Charlotte Douglas International Airport, it is also an affiliate of the Smithsonian Museum. The museum provides hands-on learning where you can get behind the controls of an F-14 fighter jet, a Boeing 727 and more, you can also try the flight simulator. You can visit the museum Monday-Friday 10am-4pm, Saturday 10am-5pm and Sunday 1pm-5pm.
