Summit Racing Equipment Re-Ups with KB Racing's NHRA Pro Stock Team

The familiar burgundy and blue Summit Racing Equipment Chevrolet Camaro NHRA Pro Stock racecars will continue to be wheeled by Greg Anderson and Jason Line, as the sponsor inked a new multi-year partnership agreement with the KB Racing squad. The Summit Racing/KB Racing partnership hearkens to 2004, when Anderson first competed under the Summit Racing banner; Line joined the party a year later.

Together, these two drivers have won six NHRA Pro Stock championships for Summit Racing – Anderson in 2004, 2005 and 2010 and Line in 2006, 2011 and 2016. “We are very pleased to continue our support of KB Racing,” said Al Noe, Summit Racing chief marketing officer. “Greg and Jason do an excellent job of representing our company – they make real connections with fans and our customers. We are proud to continue our long-time commitment to NHRA and the Pro Stock class.”

KB Racing team owner Ken Black, who attends most of the events on the 24-race calendar year, said, “It means a lot that Summit Racing continues to support KB Racing. I’ll never forget that when they came on board with us in 2004, Greg won the very first race we had with Summit Racing on the car. We’ve had a great partnership with the great folks over there ever since,” he stated. “I think it says a lot about the future of Pro Stock that Summit Racing has continued its commitment to us; we couldn’t be more excited about what’s in store for the class and our team in the years ahead.”

Both Anderson and Line expressed their pleasure at continuing the relationship with Summit Racing. Anderson, currently leading the points standings heading into this weekend’s Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals in his home state of Minnesota (Line is also from the state), said, “We’re proud to have that Summit Racing Equipment banner on the door. Summit Racing has faith in us and has shown that over the years. That really makes you feel good, and I think our best years are yet to come.”

Line, holding ninth-place points as the penultimate “regular season” contest approaches, said, “It’s certainly an honor to have Summit Racing as our sponsor. We’ve always felt it was a great match because we share the same values and interests. The Summit Racing customer is a hot-rodder and that’s what we are, too. The future looks bright and we’re proud to continue our relationship.”

The length of the partnership extension has not been disclosed, other than to state it’s a multi-year program. The Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals at Brainerd, Minn. is a home race for Anderson and Line; both are anxious to hoist the winner’s Wally trophy for Black, Noe and everyone at Summit Racing Equipment.
