John Force Entertainment Has New YouTube Series

John Force Racing wants fans to know how the team earned its two NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series championships in 2017. Brittany Force, third daughter of team patriarch and 16-time NHRA Funny Car champion John Force, earned her first NHRA Top Fuel title on the final day of the final race last November; her brother-in-law Robert Hight, also the team president, took his second Funny Car title on the same day. Hight’s initial championship year came in 2009.

When John Force Entertainment, led by daughter No. 2 and company president Ashley Force Hood, also an accomplished Funny Car competitor and winner, began filming the team early in the 24-race 2017 season, she had no idea she and her team would be chronicling the path to this pair of world championships, John Force Racing’s 19th and 20th such accolade.

“We planned to do this project and started filming behind the scenes at the beginning of the 2017 race season,” Force Hood said. “The fact that we ended the season with two world championships was luck for us. Our goal was to provide our fans with some entertaining and informative content that gives them an honest look at what it takes to go after [a title] while competing in the family business. Our double win was icing on the cake.”

A 10-episode series, simply titled “Rocky,” follows the team throughout the season, offering behind-the-scene views of the Force family, John, wife Laurie, Ashley, Brittany and Courtney, as well as Hight. Fans will be able to watch all ten episodes free of charge at https://www.youtube.com/user/jfrracing. The series premieres February 9 at noon ET.
