NHRA’s Finest Preparing for 20th Annual NHRA Route 66 Nationals

After a previous hiatus to celebrate America’s birthday last weekend, the stars of the National Hot Rod Association’s finest will be back on track this weekend at the 20th annual Children of Fallen Patriots NHRA Route 66 Nationals, presented by K&N, at Chicago’s iconic Route 66 Raceway.After a previous hiatus to celebrate America’s birthday last weekend, the stars of the National Hot Rod Association’s finest will be back on track this weekend at the 20th annual Children of Fallen Patriots NHRA Route 66 Nationals, presented by K&N, at Chicago’s iconic Route 66 Raceway.Top Fuel world champion Antron Brown, Funny Car champion Jack Beckman and four-time NHRA Full Throttle Pro Stock World Champion Greg Anderson will all have a chance to reclaim their titles during this Sunday’s final elimination rounds this Sunday.

These past winners will also have to stand up to current point leaders, including Top Fuel driver Steve Torrence and four-time Funny Car season winner Ron Capps.

This event, which marks the start of the second half of the 2017 season, is sure to keep fans on their feet in a city that is rich in the racing business.The Route 66 NHRA Nationals also features thrilling competition in the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, including the popular and highly-competitive JEGS Allstars bonus event. After qualifying, fans can also watch Douthit Motorsports eye lighting Black Pearl Jet Funny Car vs. Pro Jet Motorsports Al Z’s Hot Blade Jet Dragster.
