Ryan Hodgson Takes Home Legendary March Meet Trophy with Aeromotive

Ryan Hodgson wins the 59th annual Good Vibrations March Meet with Aeromotive fueling him to the finish. Ryan Hodgson, a Canadien, took home the nitro funny car win at Auto Club Famoso Raceway in Bakersfield, California.

Hodgson’s  1969 Camaro funny carwas tuned by Crew Chief Bob Papirnick, Hodgson and his team is the current NHRA Heritage Series Record Holder for the class at 262.28 miles per hour and is one of six members in the prestigious Legends of Nitro 260 MPH Club for Funny Cars.

With an elapsed time of 5.662 seconds at 256.31 MPH Hodgson qualified fifth for the 59th Good Vibrations March Meet, when it came to eliminations his Hemi-powered funny car ran 5.717 ET in a first round victory over Danny Gerber, a 5.678 ET holeshot win over Dan Horan Jr. and a 5.718 ET win over Ohio’s Mike McIntire Jr. in the semi final round.

Hodgson met 2016 Heritage Series Champion Kris Krabill in the funny car final round carding his best elapsed time of 5.609 seconds at 259.92 miles per hour as Krabill’s engine exploded nearing the finish line.
