The Mecum Vintage Motorcycle Auction kicked off yesterday, Jan. 25, and will run through Saturday Jan. 28. We've brought you a small sample of the hundred-plus bikes which will be auctioned off at this major event.

From the Jack 'The Bear' Coonrod Collection, this unrestored bike is a real beauty.
1941 BMW R12
This one is a piece of history. Still with its original frame number, it's accompanied by a BMW letter stating it was delivered on Sept. 19, 1941 to the Heereszeugamt in Munich.
1971 BSA Goldstar B50 SS
You'll want to take this one for a ride right away! It's been completely restored, with engine work done by Dave Wedlake.
1968 Bultaco Metralla
This speedy cycle has matching numbers and would make a great daily rider or full restoration.
1967 Royal Enfield Continental GT
This bike was kept in state on the owner's display shelf for 18 years.
