Pinup of the Week: Amanda Rose

Click Here to Begin My name is Amanda Rose. When I am not at a car shows, I enjoy cooking and baking. I love making people happy with food. I am leasing agent by day, and I make sure to spend quality time with my two pit-bulls as often as I can. My fascination with Pinup started when I was a young girl. I would stare for hours at the lovely women in books and in old movies as I would watch them with my Nana. Old musicals were my favorite, like “My Fair Lady”or “Some Like It Hot.” Art and photography involving Pinup and classic culture is a powerful thing. If one can capture your attention with a sultry image that remains classy, then you have done your job as a pinup. I started to model in the Pinup genre because I truly have a passion for the beauty of classic cars and Pinup women past and future. I was quickly welcomed by equally passionate photographers and the car community, and began my journey down the this road that I love so much. Along the way I have met some amazing people, and for that I am so grateful . The creative artists out there, the metal fabricators, the Kustomizers, the pinstripers, builders, the photographers, and the clothing designers inspire me. Pinup modeling has taught me that it is important to stay confident in yourself, and let it shine through your smile, your handshake, and your presence on stage or when meeting anyone for the first time. I will be participating in this year's Rockabilly Extravaganza Pinup contest on Nov. 26 and The Mooneyes Pinup contest on December 10th. Make sure you check out these shows to finish off the year!
