15-year-old Courtney Crone has landed a sponsorship with Tom Malloy’s Trench Shoring. The announcement was made at the private home of Tom Malloy’s multi-million dollar IndyCar collection in Corona, California.

At the “press conference”, Malloy announced that his company, Trench Shoring, has signed a major sponsoring deal with Courtney Crone. Malloy is quite the fan of Crone and made it no secret that he believes she has lots of talent, takes direction well, is a quick learner, and will be a motorsports superstar.

In 2016, Crone became one of two women to receive the Women’s Sports Foundation “Project Podium” grant. The organization was founded in 1974 by Billie Jean King and is dedicated to creating leaders by providing girls access to sports and fitness.

Crone has been racing most of her life, starting at age four in Karts and continuing on to Quarter Midgets. She was a California State Kids Kart Oval Champion, won 8 Quarter Midget Championships, and set 2 Quarter Midget World Record Qualifying Times.

She also tried her hand ad 2-wheel competition, racing Speedway Motorcycles and winning 12 Speedway main events and capturing two Youth Speedway bike Championships. Community fans were sad to see her later return to four wheel competition.

Crone won her first Sprint Car main at Perris Auto Speedway and first Ford Focus Midget main at Ventura raceway in 2015. Her other sponsors include Sammy Tanner, Arai Helmets, Troy Lee Designs, Team Swolen, stand 21 and others. Her 2016 event schedule is packed with 26 events including racing the Steve Watt 360 Sprint Car, Ed Lever Formula Mazda, and Jerome Rodela Midget.

When asked what she wanted to accomplish in her racing career, she said, “I want to win the INDY 500.”
