At PRI in Indianapolis, John Force Racing and Weld Racing announced a multi-year sponsorship extension that will extend one of JFR’s longest running and most successful partnerships.

“Nobody wanted John Force but Greg Weld took a chance with me and I took a chance with them. A ton of championships later and we are still winning races on WELD wheels. I am proud to say after almost 25 years, the relationship will continue with new president Norman Young. We are going to reinvent the wheel,” said CEO of John Force Racing, John Force. “When I see their motivation and see how they want to push new products and new ideas I feel like I was born again. I have gotten so much motivation from our meetings over the past few days that I am proud to say we are signing a multi-year sponsorship with WELD Racing to continue the legend of WELD wheels and John Force Racing.”

John Force was equally as excited about the extended partnership, saying, “This company is part of my roots like so many of my other partners. They cared about my safety from day one and now generations later my family is racing on Weld wheels.”

In addition to extending his sponsorship with WELD Racing after almost 25 years of sponsorship, John Force Racing also regained sponsorship from Chevrolet. Force campaigned a Chevy Vega years ago, and he is getting the opportunity to “get back to his roots”.

“It is absolutely great to have John Force back with Chevrolet, and everybody at John Force Racing – Robert, Courtney, Brittany, and everybody at the team in the shop that helps to prepare these cars to race every week,” said Jim Campbell of Chevrolet. “We couldn’t be prouder.”

Lastly, John Force Racing will have the power of E3 Spark Plugs behind them in 2016. The multi-year sponsorship will begin with the 2016 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series season, and all three Chevrolet Camaro SS Funny Cars as well as the Monster Energy Top Fuel dragster will run E3 Racing Spark Plugs.

E3 Spark Plugs has been the official spark plug of NHRA since 2013 and John Force Racing will complement E3’s new line of racing spark plugs.

“We are beyond excited to have John and his championship winning race teams part of the E3 family for 2016 and beyond,” said VP of Sales & Marketing, Steve Joiner. “After all, John Force is synonymous with drag racing. His team’s commitment and dedication to winning mirrors our commitment to excellence in every facet of our business. It’s not often that a company has the opportunity to join with a legendary organization like John Force Racing, and we couldn’t be happier. We are looking forward to a long and victorious relationship.”
