Goodguys, along with the Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer, will host the AutoCross for kids Program at the Goodguys 4th Nostalgia Nationals, which will be held September 18-20 at Beech Bend Raceway in Bowling Green, KY. This program will be in honor of National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and attendees will be given the chance to ride with a Pro driver on the course for a suggested donation of $20 to the Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer.
Goodguys Rod & Custom Association and the Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer have come together in a partnership to help raise funds and awareness to try and erase the effects of pediatric cancer for patients, survivors, and their families. The mission is to educate both children and adults about healthy lifestyles that may prevent cancer, as well as provide therapies throughout the United States.
There will be limited edition merchandise at the event, and proceeds from merchandise as well as from participation in the “AutoCross for Kids” will allow attendees the opportunity to contribute to the efforts.
“Goodguys events are family events,” said Goodguys Rod & Custom Association President, Marc Meadors. “The hot rod/car community is a huge family and bringing the Austin Hatcher Foundation into the fold is a win-win for everyone. We hope to do great things for them this year through the AutoCross for Kids promotion in raising awareness and funds in the fight against pediatric cancer.”
The Goodguys 4th Nostalgia Nationals show will still go on alongside the AutoCross for Kids program and will feature three days of vintage drag racing on the quarter mile, over 1,500 cars and trucks through 1972 vintage, plus all years of American made and powered vehicles and more.
