The Burnout wants to bring a little pizzazz to your weekend now that we’re nearing the end of racing season, so to that end we’re introducing the “Pinup of the Week.” Every Friday we’ll feature a lovely pinup girl courtesy of photographer Mitzi Valenzuela, whose work most readers have been avidly appreciating since The Burnout launched nearly a year ago.
This week we present: Erica Falcon
I am a proud owner of a stock ’64 Ford Falcon (aka the Falc) & a ’57 Plymouth Sports Belvedere (aka the Belv). I’m still working on Belv, but I’m happy to say I finally saved enough to buy a new 260 engine for Falc! I love to hang out with my 7 year old twins, hiking with my boxers Chance & Emma, & going on adventures with my boyfriend Stuart 🙂 And of course I love to drive Falc to car shows and cruise nights. I have so much fun doing pinup pics! Being a lover of history, I pride myself on replicating the look of the 50s pinup. I have chosen to keep my cars stock as well, so people have an opportunity to see what the cars looked like when they rolled off the assembly line. I enjoy keeping my Falcon looking the same as when my grandpa bought him. For the Belv, I feel it never really had a chance to cruise the streets past 2 years from when it was created. (It sat in a barn from 1959-when the owner died- until 2012 when the barn collapsed). It’s a beautiful car and they are rarely seen.
