New events, a key date change, and the return of vintage drag racing highlights the Goodguys Rod & Custom Association’s 2015 event schedule. Twenty-one fast-paced, dynamic events, spaced evenly throughout a nine-month span, offers performance automotive enthusiasts of all genres a chance to show and race their cars at America’s premier event venues.

The new season kicks off March 13-15 at Westworld in Scottsdale, Arizona then traverses the country through spring, summer and fall before wrapping up right back at Westworld the weekend of November 20-22. Thirteen events feature rods, customs, classics, trick trucks and muscle cars through 1972 vintage. Eight of the twenty-one events welcome all years, makes and models of American made or powered show cars and trucks.

New to the schedule this year is the Goodguys 1st North Carolina Nationals, April 17-19, at the North Carolina State Fairgrounds in Raleigh, NC. The Goodguys 4th Nostalgia Nationals, September 18-20 at Beech Bend Raceway Park in Bowling Green, Kentucky, returns to the schedule after a 4-year hiatus. The historic track is the perfect fit for a fast paced weekend which will include a show & shine for all years, makes & models, vintage drag racing all three days and the high-speed Goodguys AutoCross on the Beech Bend oval track. The Goodguys 18th Colorado Nationals at the Ranch Events Complex in Loveland, CO has been moved from June to September 11-13, marking a return to its original fall origins.

The signature event of the entire schedule, the Goodguys 18th PPG Nationals brings over 6,000 1972 & earlier show cars and trucks back to the Ohio Expo Center in Columbus. It’s also in Columbus where enthusiasts can expect to see over 400 vendor exhibits, the crowning of the Goodguys 2015 Optima Batteries Street Machine of the Year and Goodguys 2015 Classic Instruments Street Rod of the Year as well as the debut of the Goodguys 2015 Grand Prize Giveaway Car – a 1932 Ford hiboy roadster currently being built at Mike Goldman Customs. For traditionalists, the 29th West Coast Nationals, August 21-23 at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton, CA, is the lone 2015 event at which only 1972 and older cars can participate.

Seventeen events will feature Goodguys AutoCross – insuring a fast-paced experience for event participants who want to flog their ride around the cones. Season-long championship points will be kept in four classes with the season culminating with the Goodguys AutoCross Finals Shootout on Saturday, November 21st at the 18th Southwest Nationals in Scottsdale, AZ.
