[GALLERY] Nostalgia Days at Grand Bend Motorplex

Story and photos by Jim Madigan

The Ontario Nostalgia Drag Racers, are celebrating their 10th year, and so far this is one of the best seasons yet. This past weekend, at the Grand Bend Motorplex in Grand Bend Ontario, Canada was proof of their success, with a car count on Saturday of 119 cars racing with the ONDR.

The ONDR was founded in 2004 by Rick and Brenda Proctor, two of the hardest working people I know. The ONDR is not just about racing, it is as much about the people and having fun in a nice family atmosphere. Sunday saw great weather and racing. I spent time in the pits and saw many cases of racers helping fellow racers with parts, advice, and helping to make sure they could race against each other. Bob Sarkisian was there in Hellacious; the Anglia did not disappoint the crowd. Bob was also enjoying the ONDR family in the pits.

All in all, a great weekend was had by all according to all the chatter on social media. Thanks ONDR and Grand Bend Motorplex for another great event!
