The 7th and final day of the 2014 Hot Rod Power Tour took place in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin, a city that I’d like to think of as the entertainment capital of the Midwest. Cars poured in from all directions into the Chula Vista Resort and some people took as long as 2.5 hours to get into the venue!
Today was the last day that “long haulers” could go through the midway and have their badges stamped by vendors; proof that they did the entire tour.
Here are some of my favorite cars from the day:
As we made our way to the hotel for the night, we passed by some of the coolest themed attractions and resorts.
The following morning was the Long Hauler Awards, where everyone that completed the 1,600+ mile tour from start to finish received a sleek plaque to display in their garage or home. It was a nice finish to a long and rewarding journey with friends, new and old.
