Crazy Ladys Help Raise Money for DRAW

The Drag Racing Association of Women (D.R.A.W.) has a simple philosophy – help those who have been involved in a drag racing accident at the track.  The non-profit organization has helped provide $4,078,942 in financial assistance to 781 racing families from 1985 through 2012.  Founded out of the fundraising effort to help Shirley Muldowney, DRAW is an integral part of the race community. The organization is open to all, but honors it’s ten female founders in the name.  And now, thanks to an effort by Jill Canuso, it’s possible to show support for the drag racers and crazy ladies in your life with a gift that supports both.

With  the launch of her ‘1 Crazy Lady’ Booster T-Shirt Fundraiser, racer Jill Canuso is helping to support a cause she believes through her One Crazy Lady brand of clothing and accessories for that “crazy lady” in your life – the one who takes risks and isn’t afraid to be bold and show her true self to the world.  Jill herself is a fan of speed – she pilots the #1 Exhibition Jet Dragster in the World, the famed 300mph+  ‘BIC Lighter/GOJO/Xlerator’ sponsored Queen of Diamonds II, for Hanna Motorsports – Enfield, CT in addition to running the 1 Crazy Lady business. This t-shirt is a way for her to support several things close to her heart.  The limited edition t-shirt will be available for purchase at www.booster.com/1crazylady until November 30th, 2013. All funds raised will go directly to DRAW.
“When we reach our goal of 125 shirts sold, we’ll have raised about $1,000.00 for DRAW. This will be a notable achievement, but I’m optimistic that the generosity and support of the racing community will push us well beyond 125,” said Canuso.

The ladies fit T-shirts feature the ‘1 Crazy Lady’ logo with motto, “It’s Time to Set Your World on Fire,” and are made of 100% certified pre-shrunk organic cotton in sizes Small to 3XL. They’ll be wonderful holiday gifts, and will be shipped out two weeks after the November 30th deadline.  In addition, a portion of the proceeds from other products on the site will go towards DRAW throughout the year.
