That makes sense now knowing that you are trying to control such high pressure. I think that the primary pressure is low, 28PSI to the regulators is preferred and the 6.2 will get you going in the right direction on the secondary end.

That theory Bruce is talking about is what some pro-stock racers use, there's is just a bit more exaggerated. Some run 45 psi to the regulator and 4 to 5 Psi to the carb. good post Bruce.
