In conclusion people need to get serious about selling or trading and if you think its that special, keep it. My vette roller is worth more than 16 but i want some money so i have to have a good price no matter what you have in it
OH and people your roller drag car camaro, S10 especially, chevelle, nova shouldnt be even close to the same price as my vette so get real if you want to sell or trade

I got to thinking about this one and had to come back and edit my post.
Ok just this month I have road in a Brand new Underground Racing Viper worth 225k that is run on the street and a brand new Lamborghini Gallardo worth 175k both of which are a higher standard car over my little CHEVY II but they want get it because its my dream car. Don't get me wrong the Lambo has been a dream car of mine also. But like my wife said if it was really your dream car you would have done had one and thats the truth. Also between my wife an brother and me we have had 9 Vettes you are right they are nice cars. But not a CHEVY II. Also I do respect your opinion. And I hope you like my little CHEVY II.

i agree with everyone about the trade price vs. cash price. the way i figure you put a value on your car and it should be the same value no matter if it is cash or not, but they are alot of people on here trying to price their cars to high in my opinion. i have owned and built several cars and i know from experience that it is a rare case to get back out of a car what you got in them, but that is not why most of us do this,it is because we like to work on cars. and on another note i dont think it is fair to come on here and say there is no way that these other cars are worth the price of a vette.i have seen s-10's,nova's,vega's,exct... that are worth a lot more than vettes,it just depends because all of us like different cars, and one mans dream car might be another mans junk,im not trying to ruffle any feathers, but this is a interesting thread and i thought i would put my 2 cents in,

Well spoken gearhead. I don't disagree that a vette is a nice ride, but different people have different taste. I don't care what kind of car you have, as long as you have fun with it. That's the main objective. Like you said, we don't do this sport to get rich. We do it because we love the sport.

This is totally funny
Vette's are not gold plated and neither are most of the cars mentioned in this thread, but to say other cars donot compare to a your Vette. I would venture to say that's Woodsman Nova is worth 2 to 3 times what your Vette is worth. Yes i'm a Vette owner and i love it. I also had a PM Vette blown alcohol that was capable of 200mph in the 6's, but it was not gold plated. There are S10's that run in the 7's all day long.
Bottom line is you like what you got and should get the price that you ask for it, but believe me there are a lot of S10's and Nova's that are worth tons more money than you are asking for your car and to cattagorize them as worthless compared to your Vette is wrong. I appreciate that you like you car but it's not the ultimate car on the planet.

in my opinion the worst thing that could have been said is (why would i trade down to a camaro when i own a vette) the 67-69 camaros are throught the roof in value, and are alot more popular than vettes.just my opinion but i would rather have one 69 camaro than 2 vettes

Then there would be a guy that would trade the two vetts and the 69 camero for a numbers matching 70 hemi Cuda. Guess it's the the value that the traders believe they are worth that counts in a deal.
The thing is you price any car so that someone wants the car more than he wants the cash. If you price it too high you just won't sell it. I'm sure there are a lot of cars listed, that never sell at the listed price.
