Your initial phrase, "I'm on a budget" is the answer to your question. Unless you're ready, willing, and able to build a top of the line engine, go with SS and build for durability, low maintenance, and fun !

You will loose 0 hp, as long as you have enough spring, to control the valve. Your talking $100+ per valve. Vs $15-$20. Its up to you
