I didn't see it, but heard all about it.
For me It's been really hard to listen to John's TV interviews for a long time. I gets on my nerves so bad during his goofy interviews!

I dont see anything wrong with what John did. If he threw the race he has evey right to choose to loose. As a Team owner he is in a hard position. I know what it takes to keep sponcers happy, and in this ecnomy he has to hold on to every one he has. Every time you race you have the option to loose. I say this as I am not a Force fan, not before Indy or after.

John was already under the gun from all the other Funny car drivers for alledgedly talking the NHRA into manipulating the "4 test only" rule earlier in the season from their original rules laid out. So he basically was a target already & then this! I was there, it was obvious. His choice yes, but in no way the right way to play. It was good to see Ashley win, but this definitly took alot away from it. I used to have respect for him. As a person, not much now. His career & things he's accomplished, you can't take that lightly. I just hope NHRA does something, because they're losing this game by their own actions. It was obvious in the crowd & the overall feel of what's to be the biggest race of the year. It just wasn't the same anyway you looked at it.

he might have made a good business or team decesion, but
his outburst made him look bad, and for me, i would'nt want
to go where a team can determine the out come and we don't
get to see the best of the best go at it, come on, john should
have just red lighted and it would have looked better

Dale Sr played that 'team' blocking game and lost....JF coulda very easily been bench racing with DE sr right now if 'things' had of gone wrong. It's dangerous enough without 'manipulating' outcomes.......

BTW what the hell did Castrol oil, Autoclub of America Etc have to do with any of this?
They are just sponsors, not like they were out there driving the car(s).
To say I'm not going to buy or use any of their products is taking matters out of context.
I dont dislike or like D/S racing or J/F racing (but I would bone his daughter) I do use Castrol oil and I have a dam good Schumacher Battery charger.
