Spent the 4th hitting a few small town festivals and then the local winery on the way home. Finally burned a whole tank of gas, damn thing got 22mpg! Now I can say that I have babied the heck out of her so far but have rolled into the throttle a few times too. She now has about 820 miles.

Well the FedEx man showed up today with my exhaust, nothing else to do and my buddy that has a hoist is out of town so I am going to do it on jack stands. Here the new Magnaflow cat back kit, all stainless with dual tips.

Stock exhaust all in place, tried to be as careful as possible taking it off.

sticker still in place on the left front corner of the muffler

Took some undercarriage shots while the exhaust was off, all this needs cleaned up but you can still see a lot of tags and paintmarks on the undercarriage

Left and right hanger brackets installed

All mocked up and slowly tightend up

Took her for a cruise, love the tone and its not overpowering or loud. Love the sound when you roll into the throttle. Can feel a little difference in the power band. Maybe its time for a tuner setup?

Is that a factory installed anti roll bar ?
Are you pretty happy with the ease of exhaust install ?
About how long a job ?

Yes, factory WS6 option sway bar
The exhaust was a breeze! Everything came apart easy cause of the low miles and the Magnaflow kit is well made with great directions. Hardest part was lining up the exhaust tips but patience is the key.
Took me about an hour and a half and I was really taking my time, especially taking the stock exhaust off cause I want to keep it.

Took a nice cruise Saturday, just me with the T-Tops out running on some back country roads blasting old CD's I had not listened to in years. It was nice, luckily I looked down just in time to see the odometer hit 999, grabbed the phone and snapped a pic...

Yes, that is 173 miles on a half tank of gas!

The more I drive this car, the more I love it! It drives so mellow and nice, then you roll into the throttle and the beast comes alive. What a great machine!

Decided to just try the WS6 Store short stick after it being suggested by fellow Trans Am owner. Quick and easy install and what a difference! I like being able to feel the trans go into gear and the throw is great!

Taking her to work today so I can go ahead and change the oil again, have put about 900 miles on her since June. I think the break in period is almost over.
Pulled out of the driveway with just over 1400 miles this morning.

I know, have to get rid of these 13 year old tires first. Looking at a 1" lowering kit and adjustable panhard bar and then I might go play next year.
