Default I wonder if chickens do steroids?

This is the biggest chicken leg I have ever seen in my life!!
That is an eight ounce chunk of cheese.
I have no idea why I posted this :?

NOT STEROIDS, IF YOU WANT MONSTER CHICKENS, PUT TETRACYCLINE IN THERE WATER, YOU CAN MAKE A CHICKEN THAT CAN HARDLY WALK HES SO BIG.

I googled this on sat. nite and it's comes up 6 weeks, reaching 4 lbs. claims of no steroids, but breed to grow bigger and faster, and they live in a space the size of an 8 1/2"X11" average.

I gotta tell you guys, I wish I hadn't posted that pic :!: I love grilled chicken, after reading y'alls stuff, I am not so sure I want to eat anymore of it :!: I probably will though :roll:

Depends on the slaughter company, but the bigger birds like the drum in the pic will be larger than 6 weeks. 6 week birds are mostly restaurant/school sized proportionally. In the market, your customers are buying the looks, and the big uns look better, at the restaurant/school end, they are serving a piece, and buying by weight...
