Default another b&m tracnpac 400 question

I am looking at the b&m transpac for my th400 and had some questions about the settings. you can choose 1: rv/street for firm shifts, 2: street/strip for firmer shifts w/ manual and auto features, and 3: competition for full manual shifts up and down no auto feature.

My question is the stage 3 or competition feature. if you install it and you have to shift the gears manual through ever gear up and down does this mean that the adjustable modulator on the side of the transmission is null and void since vacuum doesn't tell the tranny to shift anymore? if so do you just take the modulator off and put a cover plate in its place?

anyone ever do this b4???

thanks!!

Kit comes with an aliuminum plug to replace the modulator valve for manual operation.

If your going to drive it on the street at all this doesn't work very well in my experience. Leave the modulator in and just don't connect the vacuum line.
